Hand and general surgery physiotherapy department provides physiotherapy training to students for the post traumatic stiffness of joints of hand, post operative physiotherapy management of tendon injuries, nerve repair, tendon transfer, burns of hand and mutilating injuries of hand due to industrial accidents. Students are given training to assess and treat the patients who had hand injuries and also to treat other regional conditions of hand. Students are trained for onsite evaluation of industrial workers to reduce industrial accidents as well as cumulative trauma disorders occurring in workers. Students are given training to assess and treat postoperative general surgery patient to rehabilitate them to their normal activities of daily life. Students also get trained to assess and treat conditions like post operative neck dissection and lymph oedema patients.
