BACHELOR OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (BPT)

The BPT program offered in Saveetha College of Physiotherapy aims to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to the students to become competent physiotherapist. The academic programs and courses offered by the institution are appropriate to its mission and vision. MASTER OF PHYSIOTHERAPY (MPT)

Orthopaedics and Manual Therapy

An advanced specialty area of physical therapy practice that is based on manual examination and treatment techniques integrated with exercise, patient education, and other physical therapy modalities to address pain, loss of function, and wellness.

Neurology

Neurological physiotherapy is the treatment of patients who have a neurological disorder. Neurological disorders are those affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves; such as stroke, MS and Parkinson's disease.

Sports and Manual Therapy

Manual therapy has a unique clinical role in the overall management of sports rehabilitation. Manual Therapy provides these physical stimuli, assisting the smooth transition from the disability of injury to the high physical demands of sport activities.

Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Conditions

Cardiorespiratory physiotherapy is an area of physiotherapy that specialises in the prevention, rehabilitation, and compensation of clients with diseases and injuries in the heart and lungs.

Paediatrics

Pediatric physiotherapy is effective in the management of perinatal conditions, conditions diagnosed in early childhood, and injuries sustained throughout childhood and the transition to adult care.

The program outcomes of MPT are in global standards and aimed to impart in-depth knowledge and essential skills to the students to become competent in the diagnosis, clinical reasoning in physiotherapy practice. Also the students involve research activities and to develop proper attitude required for the independent practice of physiotherapy tocarry out the best services with evidence available at various clinical and community settings.

Doctor of philosophy

Saveetha College of Physiotherapy offers structured programs of study leading to the Ph.D. in the speciality of physiotherapy. The duration of the program is 4 years (part time) /3 years (Full time).
